Important Information about Balam Pichkari 2025

 

We are excited to celebrate the festival of colours with you at our Balam Pichkari 2025 event hosted by Yellow Sapphire Events on 16 March 2025 at JFS School, The Mall, Harrow HA3 9TE.

To ensure you have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience, please take a moment to review the following important information:

 

Event Plan for the Day

  • Entry to the event will open from 12pm

  • DJ Munks and performances will commence from 12:30pm

  • Special Bollywood performance by 4all2envy group at 1:30pm

  • First round of colour distribution will take place between 1:45-2pm and thereafter at 3pm and 4pm 

  • Resist the temptation to start playing until you hear the dhols of Dhol Beats UK!!

  • From 2:30pm DJ Kapil will turn the fun up a notch and will play the latest and funkiest beats until 5pm.

  • Music will stop at 5pm

 

Security Checking

Your safety is our top priority. Please note:

  • Bag Checks: All bags will be checked at the entrance and light searches will take place. To avoid delays, we recommend bringing only essential items. Please comply with all instructions from our security team

  • Tickets check in - you should have received electronic tickets at the time of booking. Please ensure you have a printout or a copy on your mobile phone so we can check you in. The tickets are attached to this email for your convenience. If you have booked on behalf of others, then it is your responsibility to forward the tickets to them.

  • Wristbands: You will be given a wristband which you must wear at all times during the event. 

  • Prohibited Items: Alcohol, glass bottles, illegal substances, and any items deemed unsafe are strictly prohibited. We also do not permit outside food (except baby foods and any food items for diet reasons)

  • Re-Entry Policy: Re-entry is allowed, but you will need to go through security checks again

 

Challenge 25 Policy

 

We have a bar available for you to purchase alcoholic drinks. To ensure responsible alcohol service:

  • We operate a Challenge 25 policy at all bars.

  • If you appear under 25, you will be asked to provide valid ID (passport, driver’s license, or PASS card).

  • Please drink responsibly and respect our staff and fellow attendees.

  • Only alchohol purchased from the onsite bar will be allowed to be consumed

Lost Children & Vulnerable Persons Policy
 

  • If you lose a child or vulnerable person, notify event staff immediately.

  • Found individuals will be taken to the Designated Lost Child Meeting Point (clearly marked at the venue).

  • All children and vulnerable persons are encouraged to wear identification wristbands (available at registration).

Parking & Getting to the Venue

  • Parking: Limited parking is available at the venue on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage carpooling or using public transport. The JFS security won’t allow cars inside if the parking is full so please plan in advance. JFS Security Personnel will provide a pass for the car as you enter, you must display it in your dashboard and park only in the areas where our parking attendants ask you to park.

  • There is another event taking place at the venue so you will be asked at the gate which event you are attending, please mention Yellow Sapphire Events

  • We ask for your assistance and leave the onsite parking to those who need the most. Thanks for your cooperation

  • Public Transport:

    • Nearest Tube Station: Kingsbury

    • Bus Routes: 628, 653, 683, 688, 70, 204, 303 (Please check on TFL’s website for further information

  • Please leave plenty of time and plan your journey keeping in mind the ongoing roadworks

 

Playing Holi Safely & Respectfully

To ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience:

  • Eco-Friendly Colours: Only use the eco-friendly colours provided at the event. For Health and Safety of everyone please do not bring outside colours. Security team will ask you to throw outside colours. The colours we provide are organic and non-toxic, however we cannot guarantee how you might react to them, so please take care, and seek medical attention immediately if you do not feel well after playing with the colours

  • Respect Boundaries: Always ask for consent before applying colours to others.

  • Protect Your Eyes & Skin: Wear sunglasses and apply moisturiser to protect your skin.

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

  • Children & Vulnerable Persons: Supervise children and vulnerable individuals at all times.

  • Please be careful not to throw colour at dholi players, 360 Photo Booth, stalls and DJ or their equipment

Further Information

  • Weather: The event is outdoors, so please dress for the weather! It is forecasted to be dry and slightly cold, but it can change during the day. Please check the weather forecast on the morning and plan for your day accordingly. The event will go ahead unless we assess the weather to pose serious risk to injury to the attendees

  • Sound: There will be amplified music played at the event which at times can be loud especially near the stage. We will continuously monitor the sound levels but if you do feel it is too loud then move towards the other side of the event venue.

  • Filming and photography: The event may be filmed or recorded, and photographs will be taken. We may post videos and photos on our Facebook page and for promotion of our future events. If you have any objection to this, please contact YSE staff member. The media team will be carrying expensive equipment, so please be careful not to throw colours on them

  • Food and drinks: There will be stalls available for you to purchase foods and non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Please bring cash as some of the stall holders may not accept credit or debit cards. We request you to support the stall holders by enjoying what they have to offer. Please note for health and safety reasons we will not allow outside food or drinks, except baby food or for those on special diet.

  • Buggies and Pushchairs: There is limited space available for pushchairs and buggies and they should be parked in the designated area, under no circumstances they should be left in the main hall. Please note there is no secured facility available to store pushchairs and YSE or school will not take any responsibility to the loss and damage to pushchairs and buggies.

  • Alcohol and Smoking: Consumption of alcohol is strictly not allowed outside of the event area, and we ask you to refrain from drinking prior to the event. Anyone found to be intoxicated will be asked to leave immediately. Smoking is not allowed in any part of JFS School so please refrain from smoking anywhere.

  • Safety of valuables: There is no locker facility available at the event, and we cannot guarantee the safety of your valuables. Please always keep them with you. YSE or JFS will not take any responsibility for lost items.

 

Respect Our Neighbours

When leaving the premises please respect our neighbours and leave the premises quietly avoiding any unnecessary disturbance 

 

Additional Tips

  • Wear old clothes you don’t mind getting stained. White is even better!

  • Bring a change of clothes and a towel for after the event to help clean the colour powder

  • Cover your vehicle seat to avoid colours in the car

  • Use waterproof cases for phones and valuables.
